In order to bring more of our classroom and building activities into the spotlight FargoSchoolTalk will be adding a new regular feature to blog content. Each week, or as often as we receive them, we’ll post pictures from around the District. Below are three recent activities, two from Carl Ben Eielson, and one from South High…
Students in Brenda Cains sixth grade science class at Carl Ben Eielson learned some of the basics of correct lab practice in late August, including a demonstration of consequence what happens when you add an acid to a base (vinegar to baking soda).
Students in Katie Wangstads first-year German class go over some basic phrases earlier this week. On Monday, Sept. 12, the students reviewed Germanys reaction to the 2001 attacks, and completed related lessons in their new language.
Project English, an annual F-M Area Rotary Club project for adult English Language Learners, kicked off last week at Carl Ben Eielson Middle School. The program, now in its second year, teaches English to CBEs ELL parents using the Rosetta Stone computer software. Project English has evolved from Rotary Internationals commitment to literacy, and its local chapters long-time partnership with CBEMS through the FPS Foundations Adopt-A-School program. F-M Rotarians have been tutoring the schools ELL students with their homework and reading assignments for years, and more recently, have been assisting CBEs ELL parents with student registration each fall. Project English meets weekly through May.
